AT WIT’S END

2018 – SUNDAY 11 MARCH

AT WIT’S END

Psalm 61:1
“Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” There are times in life when it seems like we have reached the end of everything.
Nothing is going to plan and everything is mounting up against us.

1. YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Never believe the lie that you are failing and everyone else is succeeding.
All people have problems.
Everyone has seasons.
No-one is exempt from challenges.
The one true thing – GOD IS WITH US.

2. KNOW WHERE TO TURN
God is our refuge and our strength in times of trouble.
Sometimes you must turn around – in order to turn to God.
Stop running toward disaster and turn again to God.

3. FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH – CRY OUT TO GOD
Jonah cried out to God from the belly of a whale – in the depths of the sea.
He will hear your cry – wherever you are.

4. WHEN YOUR HEART IS OVERWHELMED
This is the worst possible feeling.
Overwhelmed – isolated – and weak.
There is nothing worse – than being in a hopeless place in life.
Never believe your heart is a wasteland.
It is the dwelling place of God.
Fill your heart with God thoughts and turn your prayers toward Him.

5. THERE IS A ROCK THAT IS HIGHER
Not only is God and His word our foundation for life – but He is my glory and the lifter of my head.
The rock we stand on is higher than any mountain or challenge before us.
God’s plan is to lift you up – so that you see all things as being under your feet.

THERE IS NO “END OF THE EARTH” TO GOD.
NO VALLEY TO DEEP – AND NO MOUNTAIN TOO HIGH.
HE WILL BE THERE WITH YOU.
