2020 – FRIDAY 20 NOVEMBER
CONTINUING STEADFASTLY
Acts 2:42
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
THE APOSTLES DOCTRINE
The Apostles doctrine was taught in the Temple and in the larger gatherings.
It was taught by those who walked in the way of the Lord.
The fruits of faith and righteousness were evident in their lives.
DOCTRINE IS SEEN BY THE WAY YOU LIVE
FELLOWSHIP
The fellowship and community support was expressed through their house to house ministries.
All believers connected together in small groups for the following two faith expressions of communion and prayers.
FELLOWSHIP IS SEEN BY THOSE YOU JOIN WITH.
COMMUNION
The celebration of the finished work of Christ upon the cross was highly important to the early church. They knew there was life, health and healing in the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
It was far more than an occasional ritual to them.
COMMUNION IS SEEN BY WHEN YOU CELEBRATE IT
PRAYERS
Genuine and passionate prayers were an essential part of the small group gatherings.
Their commitment to prayer went way beyond a short opening prayer.
They were committed to praying together for His Kingdom to come and His will be done.
PRAYERS ARE SEEN BY WHEN YOU PRAY TOGETHER
