DOES GOD FORGET?

DOES GOD FORGET?

Genesis 7:24 & 8:1-4
And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.
Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark.
And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.

One of the key truths to hang onto in difficult seasons – is the fact that God knows all about it – before, during and after.

THE WATERS PREVAILED
The floods were not a random event. God had warned Noah to prepare an ark as his vehicle of deliverance – during God’s judgement of the wicked.
Labouring long and hard – Noah gave his life to building the ark.
Serving and building the church is not just your religion – it will be your way out of here when judgement comes. Stay in the ark when the waters prevail.

THEN GOD REMEMBERED
God’s plan will be fulfilled.
Stay true to your faith and it will keep you in the times when you are being blown around in the storms.
God remembers His own.
You declare His promises – and He will not forsake you.
Best way to get God’s attention is to call upon the name of the Lord.
The real issues of life are resolved when we remember to remind God of His promises – which are always “yes and amen” in Jesus Christ.

THE RAIN WAS RESTRAINED
The creator of all things has a way of working all things together for good.
Our part in the master plan is to keep doing what we know to do.
Imagine the staff meetings every day on the ark.
No new direction.
Same group of animals.
Meaningless chores.
In a state of stupor
No God presence.
AND THEN THE RAIN STOPPED…..

IT IS ALL ABOUT TO HAPPEN.
GOD HAS HEARD YOUR CRY
AND REMEMBERED HIS PROMISE
