2018 – TUESDAY 15 MAY
EMBRACING ASH HEAPS
“Those who were brought up in scarlet – embrace ash heaps.”
This is an incredible insight into the plight of people who once knew God – but now are reaping the fruits of their own selfishness.
1. THE POWER OF HERITAGE
“Raise up a child in the way they should go – and when they are old they shall not depart from it.”
This promise is to the parents – not the children.
The parents must hold on to the promise – of a day coming – when their child grows up – and gets a brain – and follows in the ways of the Lord.
2. BRING THEM UP IN SCARLET
The colour scarlet has two meanings in the Bible. It is the bestowing of royalty upon people. Purple is God’s heavenly colour for royalty. However scarlet is man’s colour for royalty and power.
We are to clothe people with scarlet upon scarlet.
The other meaning of scarlet is the crimson flow of the blood of Jesus. We are made a royal priesthood by His scarlet – but must also learn how to live as royalty – by clothing one another in scarlet dipped in scarlet.
Riches and power don’t produce royalty.
Get the scarlet colour of salvation in Christ – and all these other scarlet dipped things – will be added to you.
3. THE POWER OF EMBRACE
What you embrace – invades your soul.
No-one embraces evil by accident.
What you embrace in life – your children embrace.
Learn to embrace good Godly attitudes and things in life.
You can’t embrace worldly things – and hold onto faith in God at the same time.
4. ASH HEAPS OF NOTHING
The Bible says, “the bread of deceit is sweet to the taste – but afterward turns to gravel in your mouth.”
People who spend their life chasing and building piles of dust – will find they have spent their best years embracing the ash heaps of disappointment and leanness of soul.
It is so sad to see people – who profess to have a faith – embracing the ash heaps of an empty life.
JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED ON AN ASH HEAP – SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO EMBRACE THEM
