2017 – SATURDAY 30 DECEMBER
ENDING A YEAR WELL
God in His wisdom has divided eternity into little pieces of time – so that we created beings can better manage it.
One of these time frames is our annual calendar.
Therefore it is a good thing to deal with a year ending – before another is about to start.
My four big ones for ending a year well.
Before you step into the great unknown of another new year – take time to refocus your faith.
Identify the God you love – trust – and serve.
Sharpen your edge of faith again.
Get some dream promises and believe again for great new things.
Freedom is always a personal choice. No-one can imprison your soul – except you.
Check whether you have become a critical person.
Criticism always speaks from a prison of offence.
Forgiveness is the foundation of all future blessing.
Identify the people who make up your world and commit to strengthening the bonds of fellowship.
Stop cutting people off. Start accepting people as friends.
The greatest thing you will ever do is to declare someone as your friend – and treat them as such.
To end a year well – means you must know how to say farewell.
Farewell – to every disappointment
Farewell – to every offence
Farewell – to every trophy and monument of great achievement
Farewell – to every hardship, hurt and horror story.
Farewell – to the place you now dwell – as it has become too small for you.
Thanks for the memories.
