2018 – TUESDAY 06 NOVEMBER
EXCHANGING YOUR SOUL
1. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
2. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
3. Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
1. SELF PRESERVATION
The desire to save our lives from discomfort, loss and hurt is a natural instinct within us all.
The desire to keep yourself from the dangers of life is normal – but when it becomes a spirit of fear – it stops you from advancing in life – and living by faith – and being a gospel declarer – and so consequently you lose the very life you were protecting.
2. SELF GAIN
The desire to prosper – according to all the promises given by God toward the righteous – is a wonderful and positive expression of our faith.
However when your fruitfulness becomes focussed on self gain, and the abundance of material things – it robs you of the spirit of faith which manifests through generosity.
The pursuit of things will steal your soul from the expansiveness and wonder of generosity.
Ultimately you will lose the very gain you obsessed over.
3. SELF EXCHANGE
The loss of your personhood and uniqueness is the greatest soul exchange of all.
You were made “sovereignly special” by the hand of the Almighty.
To exchange who you are for any reason is a tragic loss.
No love affair or marriage or union of any kind – is worth giving away your soul.
Don’t give away the good things of God in your life.
Your dreams and visions.
Your inner convictions.
Your self worth.
Your purity and integrity.
Your family values.
Your soul goes with whatever you give away in life.
So make sure what you give is linked to the goodness and grace of God.
WHAT YOU GIVE AWAY – IS A SOUL EXCHANGE – DO IT WISELY.
