FACEBOOK THEOLOGY

There seems to be a logic that if a leader declares something on Facebook or other platforms of social media – it must be true.

I am simply amazed at people who quote Facebook opinions as though they are true.

My rules for judging declarations.

KNOW THE PERSON
If you don’t know the person – don’t be quick to quote them.

STUDY THEIR HISTORY
If you know the person – look past their smart words and check the way they have walked for God.
Is their marriage still strong.
Do their kids love Jesus.
Have they been successful.
Are they critical of others.
Have they grown out of touch.

RESEARCH THEIR DOCTRINE
Find out the doctrines they espouse and check them out.
Find out if they have gone “woke.”

CHOOSE YOUR SOURCE
Plant yourself in a local church – under trustworthy leadership – and learn their doctrine and manner of life.
Doctrine is not based on a flashy message – doctrine is the truth of God’s word – built into our hearts and minds – and lived through obedience.

GET YOUR DOCTRINE SORTED
IT IS WORTH THE EFFORT
