I have the pleasure of playing golf with various members and friends at our local golf club. I usually take the passenger side and so I experience a number of different drivers and their driving styles.
I have noticed that these grown up men – supposedly – drive these golf carts similar to how they live life. One driver thinks he is still a teenager at the speedway and has to make a race of every drive between holes. This has resulted in a number of accidents causing injury to people – animals and vehicles. This driving style negatively affects my golf game.
Another driver takes it steady and safe and gets us there without daring or drama. I actually play better golf when driven by this driver.
Another driver actually goes so slow I want to get out and walk – this affects my golf for the worse.
Isn’t it amazing how others can affect your life for better or worse.
I have seen lovely outgoing happy people change dramatically by choosing to do life with the wrong person.
I have seen ohers lift their game and attempt great things simply by choosing to follow the right leaders.
If you are in the wrong vehicle or have a lunatic for a driver then get out and make a choice to do life with people who respect your way of life and can help lift your game.
Many a young persons life has been destroyed by getting into a vehicle with a reckless driver.
Make a judgement as to how much the people in your life are affecting your ability to win the game. Don’t blame them for your poor form but do make a choice to take control.
Better still – if you can, choose to drive the vehicle and take control of the direction – speed – and way in which you live out your life.
If your driver is reckless – get out.
If your driver is blind – get out.
If your driver goes in circles – get out.
If your driver is timid – get out.
If your driver can’t drive – get out.
Stop allowing others to drive your life – take the wheel and accept responsibility.
You have a choice in life so make it count.
