HE THOUGHT IT WAS HIS RIGHT – PART TWO
Continuing our study of Solomon’s folly.
HE THOUGHT HE COULD BEND THE RULES
It amazes me how so called Solomon leaders believe their “smarts” allow them to interpret scripture for their own ends – and to accommodate modern trends.
No matter how much gold you throw around – to ignore the truth is to destroy the foundations.
HE THOUGHT HIS WISDOM WAS HIGHER THAN REVELATION
Solomon never enquired of the Lord.
Never called the people to prayer.
Never listened to the prophets.
He taught life principles instead of teaching the truth of God’s word.
HE THOUGHT HIS THRONE WAS INDESTRUCTIBLE
The prophet finally came and declared the Kingdom would be taken from his lineage – and his family would disappear – and the throne restored to his father David’s promise.
It is not about the throne you sit on – but who sits on the throne in your heart.
HE THOUGHT RULE AND REIGN WERE THE SAME
The only way to stay true to God – is to be obedient to the truth. When you think you can live without accountability to God and His commands – you have flawed thinking.
Don’t let what you do – ruling in life – affect how you do – reigning in life.
WHEN YOU RULE IN LIFE – YOU CAN THINK YOU ARE RIGHT
WHEN YOU REIGN IN LIFE – YOU CAN LIVE WHAT IS RIGHT
