2017 – MONDAY 18 SEPTEMBER
THE HOLY SPIRIT
“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.”
1. PREACH THE FULLNESS GOSPEL
The gospel is the declaration that Christ came to save sinners – but also that Christ rose to empower saints to go and save sinners.
He sent the Holy Spirit so that we might have the fulness of heaven to fulfil His mission.
2. EXPECT THE FULLNESS TO FLOW
Fulness is not a journey – it is an everyday act of faith.
The Holy Spirit will fill you to overflowing according to your faith.
As you grow and increase your capacity – so His fullness increases.
At any time in your life – you are full with the fulness of heaven.
Small capacity – overflowing.
Big capacity – overflowing.
3. ALLOW ALL TO RECEIVE
God is no respecter of persons. Be astonished at who the Holy Spirit will fill.
4. LISTEN FOR THE EVIDENCE
The evidence of the Holy Spirit’s fulness is that you speak with boldness – the gospel of Christ.
5. LOOK BEYOND YOUR CIRCUMCISION
Stop measuring people’s suitability to receive the Holy Spirit according to your own external laws of circumcision etc. God looks are the heart and fills people to empower them toward Godly living.
6. SORT OUT YOUR RELIGION AFTER YOU GET THEM FILLED
Peter said, “can we forbid them to be baptised in water, seeing they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did.”
God’s gift of fullness – is not His approval – it is His empowering – so flawed people can get on with living Godly lives and reaching lost people.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AN ANOINTING FLOW – NOT AN EMOTIONAL FEELING.
