INTEGRITY

2019 – FRIDAY 12 APRIL

INTEGRITY

1 King 9:4
Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father.

God gave Solomon some clear instructions on how to perpetuate the blessing and favour of God.
Sadly Solomon did not follow after God – nor obey His commands.
Sadly Solomon’s fame – made him lame – so he could no longer walk in the ways of God.
Jesus is the seed of his father David – never of Solomon.
Luke 1:32
He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Notice the three requirements.

A. INTEGRITY OF HEART
B. UPRIGHTNESS OF LIFE
C. OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S STATUTES AND JUDGEMENTS

INTEGRITY CAN BE SUBJECTIVE
I remember a leader saying to me, “your integrity is different to mine.”
I felt I was acting properly – and that he was not.
We often tell ourselves we are right and believe we are acting with integrity.

UPRIGHTNESS
If your heart condemns you – your integrity is false.
Listen to the Holy Spirit – who is the umpire within.
It is not enough to just be right.
You must do it the right way.
Uprightness is all about doing what pleases God. Not just what you believe is right.

OBEYING GOD’S COMMANDS
At the end of everything the word of God is our foundation – our blueprint – our rule of life – and our inspiration to walk in faith.
To obey God’s commands is to guarantee God’s blessing on your children’s children.
To disobey God’s commands is to lose the throne for your children.

FAITH BRINGS BLESSING
WISDOM INCREASES BLESSING
INTEGRITY KEEPS THE BLESSING
