KEEPING THE FRIENDSHIP ALIVE

John 15:15
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends,

We all need good friends in our lives for the following reasons.

1. FRIENDS BELIEVE IN THEIR FRIENDS
The fundamental strength of a friendship is that friends believe in – and trust – one another.
Friends are not our servants – friends are our signature.

2. FRIENDS SPEND TIME WITH THEIR FRIENDS
Friends find ways to connect – despite distance and schedules etc.
Friendship is the core of every relationship and must be kept strong by quality connection and communication.

3. FRIENDS SUPPORT THEIR FRIENDS IN TOUGH TIMES
There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Friends are not gullible and blind to the issues – but choose to carry and support their friends until they come through difficulties.
Tough times reveal true friends.

4. FRIENDS INTRODUCE THEIR FRIENDS TO NEW FRIENDS
Friends who want to own your world and cling to you are not real friends.
Real friends help you live in a big world and even introduce you to new friends.

5. FRIENDS HELP THEIR FRIENDS BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE.
A friend is an unofficial coach who should do everything possible to help you succeed in life.
The language of friendship is encouragement.

6. FRIENDS DON’T EXPLAIN THEIR FRIENDS – THEY DEFEND THEM
Friends never explain their friends to others or make excuses for their behaviour. Real friends defend their friends and shut down every second hand criticism coming from the shadows of the rumour mill.

7. FRIENDS COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS BY LOVING THEIR FRIENDS UNCONDITIONALLY
Friends make a choice to cover a multitude of quirks, abnormalities and mistakes – by covering their friends with unconditional love. People heal best – when loved the most.
