Leadership Deficiencies

Australia is in the grip of election fever. At least that is what the media would have you believe.
Once again this election is being fought on some important issues, but primarily it again comes down to a personality contest between two very different people.
Unfortunately when you make it about personalities rather than party values, you open yourself up to very close scrutiny – so let’s consider some of Julia Gillard’s leadership deficiencies.

1. She is bereft of Moral values
Her record speaks for itself – loud and clear.
2. She is bereft of Integrity
Her ability to knife KRudd in the back on the basis of falling opinion polls shows what she will do for self promotion.
3. She is bereft of leadership strength
Her rejection of further debates when she thought things were okay and then a complete backflip shows very little leadership strength.
4. She is bereft of leadership vision
She has not proposed one valuable step forward into Australia’s future.
She is one of the few leaders I know – to use a go forward slogan – while walking backwards.
5. She is bereft of financial wisdom
To indiscriminately squander Australia’s financial strength on ill advised and poorly managed feel good projects was at best opportunistic and at worst negligent.
6. She is bereft of spiritual insight
We now have an interim PM who has made no attempt to liase with the Christian church in regard to her future policies.
May the church see beyond Party politics in this election and say no to a leader who is already saying no to many of the values and freedoms we take for granted in this great nation.
