LIFE IS WEIRD

2018 – SUNDAY 11 NOVEMBER

LIFE IS WEIRD

People often comment about life – saying that it is weird.
I believe this confession is simply declaring that the life is they are presently living is not enough and therefore unfulfilling.

WHEN BEING YOU IS NOT ENOUGH
When you need to find your worth beyond your own vision and values – you lose the ability to find fulfilment.
Life will always be weird when your pursuit of success – is greater than your need for personal completeness.

WHEN FAITH IN GOD IS NOT ENOUGH
When your actions, attitudes and decisions reveal your unbelief – your spiritual life becomes religious profession only.
Confessing that life is weird – is declaring that Jesus has not come to give you abundant life.
It is denying the basic confidence that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and that all things can work together for good.

WHEN WHAT YOU DO IS NOT ENOUGH
The need for constant company and activity is a sure sign that you are self focussed and always needing stimuli and change.
Never let what you do – define you.
Don’t become so preoccupied with your doing – that you forget to give attention to your being.
Your role in life – is to fulfil your responsibility in life.
Your responsibility is to fulfil your God calling. Your call defines you – not your role.

WHEN WHO YOU HAVE IS NOT ENOUGH
Changing friends and partners, often reveals a deep dissatisfaction with life. When life is weird – people are weird to you.
Deep and long lasting friendships and marriages – are a sign of a satisfied and secure person.

WHEN WHAT YOU OWN IS NOT ENOUGH
The constant pursuit of bigger and better – is the way of the world.
The things of this world can never satisfy the human soul – and the law of diminishing returns means that we are always looking for the bigger and better. No wonder life is weird.
Learn to be content with the goodness of God in your life.
Godliness with contentment – is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6

JESUS SAID – I AM COME THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE ABUNDANT LIFE
