MARK, MEASURE AND MIND

Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained (a certain mark), let us walk by the same measure, let us be of the same mind. Philippians 3:16.

MARK

Life is all about achieving new marks or levels of life. Even though we are to rest in the finished work of Christ, we are still encouraged to possess our inheritance in Him. So we must know the next mark or goal ahead of us and press toward it.

Philippians 3:14: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

MEASURE

Once you have attained a mark in life, we must then walk in that measure of grace and success. Don’t over-reach too early.

Achieving a mark once does not mean it is yours; you must then walk it out with the measure of grace given to you. Once you become comfortable in your measure, you can then set a new mark or goal in life.

MIND

The Apostle Paul is urging the believers to all have the same aspirant mindset. Let’s keep pursuing God’s best. Don’t ever let a mindset develop that you have arrived, or that you can’t achieve the next mark. We must be ever pressing toward the highest prize.

I love that the Kingdom of Heaven is an ever-increasing life. We can’t stop pursuing God’s best. Greater things than these shall you do!
