PLEASING TO GOD
And the king held out the golden scepter toward Esther. So Esther arose and stood before the king, and said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes,
I am in love with Esther.
Her godliness and profound understanding of servant leadership is way beyond today’s concept of leadership.
Consider the spirit of humility when standing before her King.
IF IT PLEASES THE KING
The will of God is paramount.
His will and purpose is all that matters.
My life’s purpose should be – to find out and fulfil – what pleases my King and my God.
IF I HAVE FOUND FAVOUR IN YOUR SIGHT
Favour in the sight of the Lord.
Her desire for favour was for her people – not for her possessions and pleasure.
Make it your commitment to intercede for the people in your world – and ask for favour on their behalf. It is called prayer and intercession.
IF IT SEEMS RIGHT TO THE KING
God has a right way – mankind has his own way – which seems right to him. The right way always lines up with the covenant commands of God.
No easy way out.
No contemporary standards of approval. Just genuine commitment to fulfil the right way at any cost.
IF I AM PLEASING IN YOUR SIGHT
Esther prepared and presented herself in such a way that she was attractive to her king.
When it pleases God – it will go well with you.
Esther had to look beyond her position – to see the plight of her people.
If what you do for God – is at the expense of His people – it is not right – and it is not pleasing in His sight.
Esther used her relationship with her King to do what was right for her people.
STOP TRYING TO PROVE YOU ARE RIGHT TO YOUR PEOPLE
AND PLEASE YOUR KING BY DOING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOUR PEOPLE.
