On Sunday 20th December 2009 I preached my last sermon in Kings Christian Church. We have invested everything to build the church over the past ten years and now it stands strong as a testimony to the greatness of our God.
As I looked out over the people I was struck by the sense of family that had developed during our journey of faith.
These were people who had believed the dream and joined themselves to our willing band.
We have shared many moments together and have grown so much stronger in our faith.
I realized that I had been the real beneficiary over the last decade. My life has been deeply impacted by these warm and loving people.
And now as I look to a new season of serving God these wonderful people have so willingly and warmly released me to go preach to the nations.
Their trust and belief in our gifts has spurred us on to dream even bigger dreams for God and so we step out knowing that God is leading us on.
To all our friends and family in Kings, we say thank you and know that for us all – the best is yet to come.
