SPIRITUAL MATURITY – PART TEN

2017 – FRIDAY 10 FEBRUARY

SPIRITUAL MATURITY
PART TEN
1 Corinthians 2:6-16

YOU SPEAK FROM WHAT YOU KNOW AND UNDERSTAND.
“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

SPIRITUALLY MATURE PEOPLE DO THE FOLLOWING;

1. THEY CHOOSE THEIR WORDS WISELY
People who run off at the mouth – are spiritual babies.
Beware the one who dominates the conversation, with endless details of their dust realm.
Spiritually mature people not only choose their words – but also choose the people they converse with.

2. THEY DON’T BOAST FROM HUMAN EDUCATION AND ACHIEVEMENT
Spiritually mature people are humble. They don’t exalt themselves based on their educational status.
They learn Holy Spirit words from God’s realm.
Their are four elements to God’s kingdom. They are;
Righteousness
Peace
Joy
Power
ALL HOLY SPIRIT WORDS ARE BASED ON THESE FOUR THINGS

3. THEY CHOOSE TO SPEAK THE TRUTH
Truth is eternal.
Speak truth and you invest into people forever.
God did not allow any of Samuel’s words to fall to the dust.
Wow – I wonder how many of our words turn to dust.

4. THEY FRAME THEIR WORDS IN LOVE
Spiritually mature people are continually checking their “word wrapping” to see if they are wrapped in love.

5. THEY SHARE TRUTH NOT GOSSIP
Gossip is ungodly.
Gossip is your opinion of another person.
Gossip always returns as a curse on the head of the gossiper.

6. THEY HAVE NO OPINION OTHER THAN THE TRUTH
Stop pontificating your self righteous opinions. Frame everything you say in the context of God’s truth.

7. THEY COMPARE, DEBATE AND DISCUSS SPIRITUAL THINGS
Spiritual people love sharing truth together.
Check out your coffee group and see if it is  “dust bowl” or a “divine debate.”
SPIRITUAL MATURITY SPEAKS SPIRITUAL THINGS.
