2019 – MONDAY 15 APRIL
THE SPIRIT OF GRACE
having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
There is something amazing about the spirit of grace that rests upon a church committed to the cause of Christ.
No wonder the known world was turned upside down by these early church zealots of faith.
Consider the following actions of great grace.
When we realise that everything we have is a gift of God’s grace – we hold onto things differently.
Just because you have it – doesn’t mean you own it.
STEWARDSHIP is the spirit of grace.
The revival caused thousands of travellers to remain in the city to be discipled in the Way.
This produced huge logistical challenges and so special measures were required to feed and house the people.
SACRIFICE is the spirit of grace.
Knowing where to bring your resource is the key to everything.
The local church is God’s plan to gather and distribute all His provision.
Being planted in the House of God creates a passion and joy to be a bringer – to His house.
BRINGING is the spirit of grace.
Finally the gift was laid at the feet of the Apostles. It was an act of submission to God and a display of trust in His appointed leaders.
No fanfare – no desire for special acknowledgement – just willing obedience and submission.
It can’t live – until you lay it down.
Your faith in God is seen in what you lay down for His cause.
FAITH – is the spirit of grace.
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
