2019 – THURSDAY 11 JULY
THE WORD OF THE LORD
The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.”
GOD’S WORD CAUSES YOU TO ARISE
When God speaks – it always causes your spirit to leap and your hope to rise.
However you must then physically arise and get up – as the word from God will always lead you to action.
Faith comes from hearing a word from God – and faith is always an action. If there is no action – it is not faith – but hope.
GOD HAS MORE TO SAY
God often speaks to get you to arise – and then He speaks again when you obey and follow His instructions.
God always has more to say – and He often uses people to say and show it.
IF YOU WONT GO DOWN – THE WORD WONT COME DOWN
Have you noticed how often God’s word is for you to arise – and then go down.
Naaman – go down to the river
Prophets – go down to the valley
Jonah – go down to the mission field of Nineveh.
God’s word is usually to get us to go down to where people live.
Even on the Mount of Transfiguration, God told the disciples to go back down to the mission field below.
GOD’S WORD IS CLEAREST – WHEN IN CONTEXT
The word we get from God in the rarified mountain top moments – is wonderful and amazing – but will always need to be clarified in the context of our real life mission.
Jeremiah had to go to a humble potters house to see and hear the word of the Lord.
Sometimes the clearest word you will hear is in the kitchen, or on the train, or at your workplace.
It always becomes clear when in context.
THE WORD COMES AGAIN WHEN YOU POSITION YOURSELF
Once Jeremiah was in position and observing the potter at his wheel – the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah again.
Maybe you are not hearing from God because you did not arise and go – last time God spoke.
SPEAK LORD – I AM LISTENING
