2019 – SATURDAY 02 MARCH
What do you do when life treats you badly?
Marion and I have gone through some real challenges in our walk of faith.
It has been very challenging over the past few years having to cancel many of my ministry commitments, and help Marion go through major operations for cancer – and now recently my own health issues.
Let me share how we coped and conquered in these down times.
OUR STEPS ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD
Faith 101 – This conviction is foundational to faith. We stand on the truth that God is in control and has a plan for good and not for evil – to give us a future and a hope.
SAD DAYS ARE NOT BAD DAYS
We will all experience sad days of loss and difficulty.
If you declare them as bad days – they will be. But if you declare that God makes all things work together for good – then even your bad days are good for you.
NEVER ALLOW LOSS TO BE THE BOSS
Whenever you lose something – choose to sow it – not lose it.
You are then in control of the outcome. One produces sadness and loss. The other produces sowing and joy.
KEEP YOUR JOY
Create the sound of thankfulness – praise and rejoicing in your world. Joy is stronger than feelings.
Joy works when it becomes words.
USE LOVE AS A WEAPON
Perfect love casts out all fear.
Do not curse God and die.
Declare His love for you and for all who share your journey.
Seek first – means to determine what is important and prioritise.
Keep a clear list of the top five priorities in your life – and honour them – despite your circumstances.
One of the top five priorities should be – to prosper and be in health.
TOUGH TIMES MAKE GOOD PEOPLE STRONGER
