2020 – MONDAY 29 JUNE
WHEN WE ARE SEPARATED
Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
DECLARE YOUR LOVE
The one-another commitment of the early church was amazing.
They knew they were better together – and they worked at it.
They knew that love overcomes all things.
The times of separation were difficult for Paul and he made it known. He longed for their fellowship in all forms.
He declared his desire to be with them in person.
DECLARE YOUR JOY
Make the people in your world your joy. Find the good and celebrate it together.
Find the funny and laugh.
Find the deep and share it.
Find the pure and honour it.
DECLARE YOUR CROWN
The people in your world are your crown.
You are known by the company you keep.
Paul declared his friends to be his crowning glory.
DECLARE YOUR STEADFASTNESS
By your steadfastness – you inspire your family & friends to be steadfast.
DECLARE YOUR LOVE AGAIN
Never leave a conversation without reaffirming your love for the person.
Paul was the master at doing this. He could disagree with others – but knew that he must reaffirm the bond that tied them together.
That eternal bond was their love for God – their love for His word- and their love for one another.
LOVE BINDS US TOGETHER
