AT THE BREAK OF DAWN

2020 – TUESDAY 24 NOVEMBER

AT THE BREAK OF DAWN

Psalm 46:4&5
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her,
she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

JESUS HAD A DAILY HABIT
Before dawn Jesus would leave Jerusalem and cross over the Kidron Valley to go and pray on the Mount of Olives.

HE SAT FACING WEST
Jesus would sit facing west so that he could look back on the Temple of God.
As the sun came up in the east – it would shine upon the Temple – the place of prayer and worship.

HE SET HIS HEART TOWARD HIS FATHER’S HOUSE
He began every day by setting his heart and his affection on the house of His Father.

THE DAY BEFORE CALVARY JESUS CROSSED THE VALLEY FOR THE LAST TIME
It was so important to Him that He went to the Mount of Olives for one final time, as He had to remind Himself of the reasons why He was going to die.
He died for His Father’s House – the Church.

JESUS DIED FOR THE CHURCH
Ephesians 5:25
…as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

THE CHURCH IS STILL GOD’S BEST PLAN FOR HUMANITY
