2018 – FRIDAY 14 DECEMBER
CRYING OUT TO GOD
I cry out with my whole heart;
Hear me, O Lord!
I will keep Your statutes.
I love the cry of the Psalmist as it reveals so much about his walk with God.
1. CRY OUT TO GOD
There is only one true Living God.
Direct your prayer to Him.
If you are praying to God – you won’t be playing with sin.
If you are praying to God – you won’t be prisoner to people’s opinions.
If you are praying to God – you will have faith to believe for miracles.
2. CRY OUT WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART
Learn to be transparent before God. No hidden agendas or secret hiding places. Pray with every fibre of your being.
3. CRY OUT WITH CONFIDENCE
1 John 5:14
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
4. CRY OUT TO BE A KEEPER
Make sure your prayer includes asking for strength to keep the commandments of the Lord.
This prayer is greater than all others.
It is the prayer of humility. Submitting yourself to the word of God.
We all need strength to keep His commandments.
Grace does not absolve you from obedience. Grace empowers you to live in the blessings of obedience.
If we kept His commandments – we would not have to pray half of our other prayers.
5. CRY OUT TO BE KEPT
Ultimately the word of the Lord keeps us in the blessing of the Lord.
Once you commit to keeping the word of God in an unwavering and unshakeable way – you can expect to be kept on the paths of righteousness – and blessed of the Lord – as a testimony for His name’s sake.
YOU ARE HIS CHILD – SO CRY OUT TO HIM IN THE NIGHT – AND HE WILL DELIVER YOU FROM ALL DESTRUCTION.
