2019 – SUNDAY 08 DECEMBER
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
WE HAVE A HIGH PRIEST
It is our confidence in Jesus Christ – our High Priest in heaven – knowing He has been there, and conquered all things on our behalf. He knows what we are going through.
WE APPROACH BOLDLY
We therefore come boldly to the Throne of His Grace – Holding fast our confession of faith in Him. Our boldness is not in our behaviour – but in His finished work.
WE OBTAIN MERCY
We come to the Mercy Seat of Christ – First – and see the blood of a new covenant.
We are declared righteous and obtain mercy.
The blood does its work once again and we stand in awe of so great a salvation.
WE FIND GRACE
It is then at the Throne of His Grace – as we worship Him – we find grace to overcome in life.
Grace is not some magic dust that falls from heaven.
We find grace – IN HIM.
He is our sufficiency and our fulness.
The Throne of His Grace is not your begging station – but your reigning seat with Christ in heavenly places.
GRACE IS GOD’S FULNESS
FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST
SO WE CAN FULFIL HIS PURPOSE
