GRACE, MERCY AND PEACE
Titus 1:4 NKJV
To Titus, a true son in our common faith:
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
2 John 1:3
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
THE COMMON FAITH
The common faith is that which is passed down from our fathers in the faith.
It is not some new generational adjustment to accommodate cultural pressures.
MERCY FROM THE FATHER
Everything begins with – For God so loved the world – He showed mercy toward us.
Mercy is God’s love toward us in forgiving our sins.
The blood of Jesus is on the mercy seat in heaven.
God is forever merciful toward us so we can repent and turn to Him for forgiveness and cleansing.
It is because of God’s mercies that we are not consumed.
GRACE FROM JESUS CHRIST
Everything rests upon the finished work of Jesus, in providing such a full salvation for those who believe.
There is a new and living way once the blood is upon you.
It is a walk of boldness into the Throne of His Grace.
By faith we have access into this grace.
It is because of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that we are able to conquer and live in the fulness of our salvation.
PEACE IN TRUTH & LOVE
Somehow our life of forgiveness and fulness – must produce peace – in truth and love.
Love is always merciful.
Truth is always revealing.
So we must begin by being merciful toward others.
We can then speak the truth in love and bring about peace.
GRACE – MERCY – PEACE
