THE FIRST FIVE THINGS I DO

2020 – THURSDAY 30 JANUARY

THE FIRST FIVE THINGS I DO

The beginning of anything – determines the outcome of everything.

RISE UP
Make a commitment to get up and actually wake up.
Don’t stay in a state of slumber.
My body wakes around four am and I know it is time to stir my soul – and begin preparing for a brand new day.

COFFEE
I start the morning with coffee.
The making of my coffee means I have to take action.
The reward I get from this action helps me face my new day with optimism.

READ THE WORD
I then get my IPhone and read the word in a number of versions.
I am random in my Bible study – but always read a Psalm – an Old Testament passage – and a New Testament passage.
I often then get engrossed in listening to the Holy Spirit for help to understand my readings.

PRAYER
The word then becomes my foundation for my praying.
I pray in tongues and in English.
While praying I wait for revelation from God to activate my faith and to apply in obedience.
I practice humbling myself under the word of the Lord.

WRITE MY BLOGS
I then write my devotions and meditations as Blogs – which I share daily.
Some mornings I write three of four blogs. So that I am always months ahead of the day each blog is actually published.

AND THEN IT IS TIME FOR BREAKFAST
